Distance Learning Modules

The distance learning training is comprised of five on-demand eLearning modules appropriate for staff who are new to the UDS and will participate in the data collection and reporting process. Upon completion, learners will be prepared to contribute to the UDS data collection and report submission process.

When you click the links below, the module you have selected will open in a separate window. Please note, if you stop in the middle of the module and close the browser window, your progress will not be saved. At the end of each module, you will have the opportunity to complete a brief survey and then receive a certificate of completion.

Module 1: UDS Overview — Learn about the UDS and the overall course.

Upon completion of this module, learners will be able to:

  • Define the Uniform Data System (UDS).
  • Explain the purpose and value of UDS data.
  • Explain who to involve in the UDS reporting.
  • Explain who uses UDS data.

Estimated length: This module is expected to take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

Modules 2-4 will provide table-by-table details which together describe the health center profile. Upon completion of each of these modules, learners will be able to:

  • Explain the purpose of the data set.
  • Identify key relationships between tables.
  • Outline common issues and solutions.

Module 2: Patient Characteristics — Learn how UDS data provides a snapshot of the people we serve.

You will also need a computer with a sound card and speakers to hear the audio portion of the training. High speed internet connection is recommended.
